In the face of gun violence and mass shootings that have become all too common in our society, it’s easy to feel powerless and overwhelmed. But Congressman Maxwell Frost is not content to sit idly by and watch when he can take action. Neither are #FedUpSchoolNurses. We can take meaningful action to support this young Congressman from Florida, the first of his generation, known both as Generation Z and sadly, the lockdown generation.

HR 1699, is Congressman Frost’s bill, proposing the creation of the First Office of Gun Violence Prevention – a bold and ambitious plan to tackle this crisis head-on.

At its core, the bill is about one simple thing: saving lives. By establishing a dedicated office to study gun violence and develop evidence-based strategies to prevent it, Congressman Frost is taking a major step towards making our communities safer and more secure.

But the bill is more than just a collection of policies and strategies. It represents a powerful statement about the values we hold as a society – the belief that every life is valuable and worthy of protection, and the recognition that we have a responsibility to work together to create a safer world for ourselves and future generations.

And while the road ahead may be long and challenging, Congressman Frost and the thirteen congressional co-sponsors are undeterred. They know that the stakes are too high to give up or back down, and that the lives of countless individuals are depending on their efforts.

Stand with Congressman Frost, and with all those who are working tirelessly to end the scourge of gun violence once and for all. Let’s commit ourselves to the work of building a safer and more just world, where everyone can live free from the fear of violence and oppression.

If you want to support Congressman Frost’s efforts, I urge you to take action today. Call your representatives in Congress through (202) 224-3121 and ask them to cosponsor H.R. 1699. Together, we can make a real difference – one bill, one person, and one day at a time.
