It was a critical principle underpinning UK Parliament’s (2021) recent proposal for a ‘national plan for sport, health and wellbeing‘ and the government’s response agreed that it should be an essential focus for physical education (PE) and school sport (DCMS, 2022).

Team Christmas Parties

Physical Education Update

The annual Christmas party is a favorite tradition among my track athletes and coaches. Every year around this time we get together at our house for a potluck supper and other festivities, including the showing of race videos, a slide show put to music, annual awards presentations, and finally, a cutthroat Kris Kringle. So, last night we held my university team’s Christmas party.

Volleyball Help Please!

Montessori Physical Education

All of our students finally come back after Labor Day. That means fall sports season is right around the corner. Last year, we brought back a limited version of cross country, our first sport coming back from Covid. It was pretty safe since we were always outside and didn’t race against any other schools. It was essentially a running club, but overcoming the inertia of not having any sports was essential.
