I was not able to identify the name of the comic artist. If anyone knows, please let me know and I will credit them. . The theme of the summer was setting boundaries. As I had some space from the COVID chaos of the past three school years (yes, we are entering year #4), I felt a sense of peace and calm that replaced the frenzy and frustration. The notion of no longer tolerating intolerable working conditions has become my personal mantra that I share with as many colleagues as will listen.

Injury Excuse Extraordinaire

Physical Education Update

I’ve heard many reasons for injury in my 25 years of coaching. Some were beauties, but the one I heard this week is the best ever. One of my sprinters has been nursing a sore hamstring. When I asked him how he had strained the muscle, his response was that he was playing hockey…video game hockey! That’s right, he pulled a muscle playing a video game.
