It was nice to be invited to write a chapter for Light and Harvey's latest instalment of the Positive Pedagogy interpretation of Game Game Sense coaching. In 1994, I commenced a Level 2 Australian football (AFL) coaching course during which, the concept of coaching game sense was introduced to me in a meaningful way through the work of Rick Charlesworth, and his concept of ‘ designer games ’ (Charlesworth, 1994).

He is currently a referee in the National Hockey League. What brought you to the SCL program and what did you want to do with the degree? I have always thought about earning a master’s degree.

So, now is the time we're deep into fall baseball. All COVID aside, the boys of summer are still out there performing the same rotational movements when they throw, pitch, and swing the bat, as they did this summer if they were lucky enough to do so. To put it all out there, I don't support most fall baseball programs. Some are money grabs, and some are set out with good intentions, believing that fall baseball is somehow required for a young man to play high school baseball someday.
