Our 2023 November Fitness Challenge Calendar is here!
Use this printable calendar as a resource to share with your students, and encourage them to also participate in the challenge at home with their family. For your PE class or classroom, you can use the Fitness Challenge indoor or outdoors as a fun way to get kids moving and active.
We teamed up with the Alliance For A Healthier Generation to create this fitness calendar for the month of November 2023. Here is the link to the download:
Printable Fitness Challenge Calendar November 2023
Students are challenged each day to participate in the activities listed on the calendar. For the month of November, we’ve included some basic fitness exercises and a printout including 51 activity ideas for Family Fitness Week. Depending on where you live and the seasons you have, you can adapt some these ideas.
Each week, the number of repetitions for each fitness exercise increases. Please keep in mind the number of repetitions is meant as a guide, and can be adapted as needed based on age group and skill level.
Descriptions for Exercises
Side Lunges: Stand with your feet and knees together. Take a large step to the right with your right foot and lunge toward the floor. Your knee shouldn’t extent past your toes. Make sure your left leg stays relatively straight. Push off through your right foot to return to the starting positon. Alternate legs.
Sumo Squat: Stand with your feet wider than shoulder-width apart, and your toes slightly turned out. Push your hips back and squat down, keeping your chest up and knees out. Then stand up and return to the starting position.
Tricep Dips: Students can either use the edge of a chair, a bench, or raised box. Grip the edge with your legs extended out in front of you. Lower your body down toward the ground, with your back close to the edge, and bend your elbows until they are at about 90 degree angle. Then straighten the elbows and bring your body back to the starting position.
Leg Raises: Lie on your back with your legs straight and together. Keep your legs straight and lift them all the way up to the ceiling until your glutes come off the floor. Slowly lower your legs back down – you can also hold them just above the floor for an added challenge. Raise your legs back up and repeat.
Family Fitness Week
The week of Thanksgiving (November 21st-27th) is #NationalFamilyWeek. Celebrate with some fitness activities you can do as a family! We’ve labeled this on the calendar as Family Fitness Week, and provided a list of 51 ideas for you to choose from. Pick your favorites from the list and set a goal to accomplish 2-3 per day during that entire week. This is a great time to encourage each other to stay active, work on team building, and spend time together as a family. You will find the list starting on Page 2 of the printable calendar.
Tip: Use the printable worksheet below from Active Schools to fill out the exercises or activities you did as a family during this week. The sheet allows you to record the activity on each day of the week! This is a great resource to go along with our calendar this month. Download the printable worksheet here.
Task Sheet
Download our printable Fitness Challenge Task Sheet for your participants to fill out each day. They will record what exercises they did and put a check mark in the completed box if they completed the number of reps on the calendar. There is also a self-assessment section which is great for social emotional learning. Kids will circle the emoji that best describes how they felt after doing the exercises. The notes section is a place where they can jot down anything related to the activities, and also a great place to record their hobbies they did each Saturday this month.
Get the printable Task Sheet here.
Certificate of Completion
Reward your students for completing the Fitness Challenge! View our printable Certificate of Completion below specifically designed for the month of November. It will open up a Word Document with the template – you just have to fill in the names of your students where it says Enter Name Here.

Hello, Would you mind emailing me an editable version? Thank you very much
Alberto

Hi Emilia, the December 2020 Calendar was posted, here is the link: https://www.ssww.com/blog/december-printable-fitness-challenge-calendar/
Hello! Could I get an editable version of this as well, please? Many of my students don’t have printers at home, and I would love for them to be able to fill this out during distance learning! Thank you.
Is it possible to have this sent to me via email so I can make it editable as well? I would love to share it with my students and staff members. I love this!
Thanks so much,
Heather
Hi Heather, I just send you an email!
Can you send me an editable copy as well?
Is there a way that I can copy the November fitness challenge to my google slides for my online students?
Hi Denise, I can email you the editable version of the calendar if that helps!
I think that might help. Also the rest if the pages to go with the calendar.
Thanks, Denise
Hello, are you able to make this Calendar and Fitness Challenge-Task Sheet editable? If so, can you send it to me?
The dates are a day behind. The 1st was on a Friday. Could this be corrected before I send it to our staff and families please?
Hi Allyson, thanks for letting us know. The wrong file was uploaded. It is correct now, sorry for the inconvenience!
For the activities, do y’all have all the task cards of movements available? There are some that I am not sure what the movement is and would like to see if what y’all are describing is what I think they are.
These are fantastic, btw! I really appreciate the fitness tracker page to fit in with the SEL!!
Thanks for the printable resources! Is there a possibility of getting these forms in an “edited” version to make a few tweaks to fit our students’ needs?
(Family Fitness worksheet and Task Sheet)
Thank you!
Mary
This is a great resource. I would have loved to have used it had I found it before the month had started. Will you do it again in the spring?
Hi Aimee, we have the Printable Fitness Challenge Calendars for every month. We just posted the December calendar, here is the link for all calendars: http://www.ssww.com/blog/category/pe-central/fitness-challenge-calendars/. Next year we will be re-sharing the calendars and adding a few new features!
This family calendar is perfect.
Thanks for this! Could you send me a editable version so I can get it down to 2 pages? And delete family activities that aren’t probably for our region this time of year?
Thanks,
Julie
Do you have this is Spanish also?
Hi Tracy, we are currently only able to provide these calendars in English, but I would be happy to email you an editable version so you can make changes, if that would help?
