What’s up Phys Ed Fam!
In honor of your hard work and dedication to prepare an amazing Field Day for your school I was inspired to write this poem.
I hope it gives you a laugh, a smile, lifts your spirit or at least gives you that little spark of motivation you need to make it through your next Field Day.
Best of luck to having an amazing day!
Twas the Day Before Field Day
Twas the day before field day and all through the Gym,
Not a creature was stirring, not even the Cockroach Tim.
The stations were set and ready to go to the field with care,
In hopes that good weather would soon be there.
The students were ready all trained up in their heads,
They’ll have tennis shoes for their feet, hats and sunglasses for their heads.
The air horns are prepped and ready to sound,
To signal that everyone should move to the next station around.
With my whistle and hat and sunscreen all ready,
I am just settling down to make sure my plans are all steady.
I sure hope that tomorrow to my wondering eyes do appear,
The sights of children, laughing, running and smiling ear to ear.
Tomorrow Field Day will come and go lively and quick,
Before you know it the last freezer pop will have had its last lick.
From the first classroom to the end of the hall,
Students will leave content and tired, from the big to the small.
Though I’m tired as can be and this prep has been a strain,
It’s worth it for the memories that tomorrow will fill each students brain.
And now I feel ready to go home and get a good night’s rest,
For tomorrow will be Field Day, and Hopefully the Best of the Best!
As I end this poem and head out of sight,
Just wanted to wish you a Happy Field Day and a good rest tonight!
Have an Awesome Field Day Friends!
