Hello amazing AZHPE members!!! =)
My name is Chelsey Sands. I am currently in my 12th year of teaching in the area of Special Education, and my 8th year of teaching Adapted P.E. in the Tempe Elementary School District. I have been an AZHPE member since 2016 and served as the APE co-chair and chair for 4 years. In my free time, I like to hike, travel, and listen to live music.
I am excited to be serving as the AZHPE President this year! Thank you to everyone who attended the state convention this past week; we had a great turnout and a wonderful time learning and networking. If you were unable to attend, we announced next year’s convention theme: “Inspire. Innovate. Include.”  I am excited for the various events and opportunities ahead of us this year. One of my goals is to have more social events for members. Another goal of mine is to encourage more members to attend board meetings, make their voices heard, and possibly join a committee of interest. I look forward to connecting and collaborating with you. Please reach out if I can help in any way~! =)

Respectfully,

Chelsey Sands
