Dear (mask wearing) Santa!

Knowing that my Christmas wish list letter to Minnesota Governor Tim Walz - who I must add, I have tremendous respect for due to his strength and leadership - would never make it to his desk, I’m going to approach this entry a little different. Below are my Sunday 7 items on this year’s Christmas list to Santa.

Dear Santa, wherever you are…

It has been a most troubling year in the world, especially here in the United States.  If you happen to find any extra time in your schedule, here is what I would like for Christmas.

  1. A fresh start.  (or a couple days vacation could work)
If you have any reboot buttons that actually work, yes please!

  2. Keep gas prices under $2.
I’m as green as the next generation but boy do we take cheap gas for granted.

  3. Conversations.
May I suggest just eliminating social media for a full year and see what happens.

  4. A new (trained) puppy or rescue dog for every family in the U.S.
We all need to wake up, stop complaining and quit being lazy in everything we do.  Take more walks, take on responsibility, be positive and find more compassion.  Can’t think of a better gift to get everyone off their tails and be more active!  (I’ll take a yellow lab retriever.)

  5. An Aaron Rodgers Packers Super Bowl.
It’s okay Minnesota, he’s only got 2 more years in Green Bay after this season.

  6. Decency to one another.
Let’s start with politicians, bridge the great divide, and welcome opinions, not bash them.

  7. $100 million dollars.
I know you’re good for it and I promise to give most of it away to those in need.

And whatever you can throw in to help the Small Businesses, the Homeless, the Unemployed, the Gyms, Fitness Centers and Restaurants and the thousands of others that I’m sorry I left out! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and Mrs. Clause! Sincerely, CS
