A day in the life of an unconventional PE teacher

This blog is about a working day of mine. My name is James and I am a PE teacher. But, in 2024, I am also a business owner, blogger, content creator and employer to say nothing of a dad to two daughters and a partner to my girlfriend, Marta. I co-own (with Marta) The EverLearner Ltd and I am the creator of TheEverLearner.com and ExamSimulator.

Many readers of this blog will be PE teachers and I wanted to share what my daily routines are as a colleague who is no longer teaching full-time in a school. Many teachers comment to me that moving out of education is an aspiration, that teaching is not what it was or could be and that the lifestyle is not what people want. With this in mind, I want to give an insight to colleagues into what my working life is like and, perhaps, answer the question: is the grass actually greener on the other side?

Today is Monday 11th March 2024 and, to some degree, I have a standard day in my working life.

The plan is to go to the gym and cook something wholesome. Let’s see if it happens…

I have brought these events together for you in a short video. I guess, technically speaking, this is a Vlog but I just thought it would be useful for you to see what I get up to and to flesh out a few details as to what is included in my day above. I hope you find it interesting and I look forward to reading your comments which you can leave below.

James
