Citrus pectin is a molecule derived from citrus peels that is modified for commercial use to help support absorption in the small intestine. Oligosaccharides derived from citrus pectin are classified as nondigestible carbohydrates (NDC). Recent research indicates that NDCs may help support immunometabolism.
