In February 2020, the school life students were used to came to a screeching halt as the pandemic hit. Students spent the majority of the next two school years learning virtually. As a result, many grew accustomed to learning behind a computer screen and their social interactions through school became nonexistent.
After two years of virtual learning, students were thrust back into their traditional school environments and expected to hit the ground running. During this transition, educators underestimated the impact that the pandemic has had on our students intellectually, emotionally, physically, and socially.
Join Jeremy Kellem, former professional athlete turned educational specialist and strategist for high schools and middle schools, for an in-depth discussion on strategies to reconnect with today's scholars. Attendees will walk away with information on the following:
- How educators can use their personal strengths to better connect with students
- The importance of knowing your students and using that knowledge to cultivate educational strategy
- Knowing your "why"
