At age 2, Traejen was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune form of focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) , where the immune system produces a chemical that causes the filters in the kidneys to leak. Dialysis is tough for anyone to endure. FSGS: A devastating kidney disease. Dialysis works, but it can’t replace kidneys.
