Well, it’s July and summer vacation has just begun here in North America. For those of you still checking PE Update, I thought I’d provide a video of a new sport that you’ll probably never be able to play in your school (because it looks expensive to set up), but that looks like a lot of fun. It’s called Bossaball and it’s a combination of volleyball, soccer, gymnastics and trampolining!

Wheaton Academy manages medication administration with Magnus Health

The Challenge Jenn Sezonov, RN, joined Wheaton Academy in 2020 as their first full-time nurse. The school previously relied on part-time health staff to administer student medication at lunchtime. With the increase in student health needs around COVID-19 , they hired a full-time school nurse to support their community. Wheaton Academy’s health office uses Magnus Health to track medication information, stay organized with medical forms, and prepare for emergencies.

Ridley College improves communication and collaboration with paperless student health records

The Challenge Prior to Magnus Health, Ridley College used a combination of paper-based processes and an electronic medical record (EMR) solution to manage student health. While the EMR offered some nice features, it was designed for doctor’s offices and did not cater to K-12 schools. During the 2016 school year, Ridley’s nurse manager and IT department began to look for a new student health record (SHR) solution.
