A well-designed sports program has the capacity to teach teamwork, sportsmanship, grit, leadership, and many other life skills, as well as a lifelong love for their game. This early commercialism can overshadow the fundamental aim of youth sports: enjoyment, character development, a growing love for the sport, and holistic well-being.
Physical Education Update

Rather than firing PE teachers and cutting PE from school curricula, Uganda’s ministry for education has announced that they’ll be recruiting 3600 new physical education teachers over the next two years. The school also entered teams in after-school and during school time sport opportunities such as the state 'all-school' competitions, and had x2 50 minute lessons of physical education for all students to Year 12 as well as elective PE for senior secondary 'leaving certificate-tertiary admitance score' study.

This is perhaps opposed to the more palatable perspective of skills learning as solely mechanical and existing in a ‘simple’ environment of learner and teacher, i.e. how movement is created. It is more a journey taken together with the teacher through carefully thought out lesson designs that consider task-learner-environment.
