The schools with the most support and best framework for handling mental health put up a united front. A school cant just decide its wellness cultureits up to the teachers, staff, parents, and students to work together to create a supportive community. In honor of May being Mental Health Awareness Month, we wanted to discuss how to improve mental health in schools through parent, teacher, and nurse collaboration.

She typically checks shoulders, hips, and knees, to make sure they havent moved out of place during sleep and are stable enough to support her getting up. Some days the San Jose college student doesnt feel well enough to start the day.

For many students, physical education is critical to becoming active and developing healthy routines. But how is this possible anymore with the repercussions of the pandemic? Years of COVID-19, social distancing, and virtual learning have all had a profound effect on students, which means educators need to adjust their classes accordingly. The good news is that P.E. can still play a vital role in helping students intellectually, emotionally, physically, and socially.
